PURPOSE:To improve starting and ascending performances by raising low output torque of a motor in an extremely low rotating speed range such as at the time of stalling, etc., in a motor operated vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A motor operated vehicle converts a DC power source 4 to an AC power source through an inverter 5 to drive a motor 6 to travel, and comprises allowable current upper limit setting means 13 for setting an upper limit value IB of a larger allowable current than a current upper limit value IA at a higher rotating speed than an extremely low rotating speed 12a of the motor 6 detected by rotating speed detecting means 12 in a controller 9 for controlling an operation of the inverter 5. Operation control means 11 increases a driving current to be supplied to the motor 6 based on a torque command signal 3a to be supplied from accelerator operation amount detecting means 3. |
