Trim strip for door frame and window frame

The outer edge of the fixed frame (8) for the door or window is fitted with a profiled strip which has one flange (20) aligned along the outer face of the fixed frame and a lateral flange (22) which is keyed into the subsequent plaster layer (30). The inner edge of the strip is lipped (24) and is located behind the fixed frame to accurately align the strip around the frame. The strip is secured around the frame by an adhesive padded tape (16). The lateral flange (22) has its outer surface textured (36) to enable the plaster to key onto the flange, and with a lipped end (26) to further key into the plaster.
