<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display holding device which holds a display laterally movably, being the display holding device capable of smoothly moving the display. <P>SOLUTION: The display holding device comprises a guide mechanism G fitted to a support S and a holding mechanism H fitted to the display. The guide mechanism G has a guide part 1 which laterally extends and a stop part 2 which is arranged along the guide part 1, and the holding mechanism H has a slide part 3 which slidably engages the guide part 1 and an abutting part 4 opposed to the stop part 2.
