PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyalkyl methacrylate compsn. which is practically usable in terms of cost and moldability, exhibits an improved antithrombotic action, and is excellent in dialysis performance by compounding a polyalkyl methacrylate with a small amt. of a poly(alkyl aryl ether)sulfone copolymer obtd. from a polyoxyalkylene glycol and an aryl monomer. SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises 99-50 pts.wt. polyalkyl methacrylate and 1-50 pts.wt. poly(alkyl aryl ether)sulfone copolymer which contains 10-90 wt.% repeating units represented by formulas I, II, and III and has a reduced viscosity (a mixed solvent, a concn. of 1.2 g/dl, 35 deg.C) of 0.5 or higher and a solubility parameter of 9.0-10.3. In the formulas, X is SO2; Ar, Ar1, and Ar2 are each a 6-30C divalent arom, group; R is a 2-3C alkylene group; and (k) is such a number of repeating that the mol.wt. of a polyoxyalkylene group of the formula: (RO)k is 2,000-20,000. |
