PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance recording sensitivity and the vividness of a recording part, and make two-color recording feasible at least by allowing a microcapsule including at least one kind of solid leuco dye and developer to be included in a thermal recording layer containing a plurality of leuco dyes being different in a coloring tone and developer. SOLUTION: A mixture of a solid leuco dye and developer obtained by heating and melting and then cooling a solid leuco dye and developer together is subjected to wet crushing by employing anion polymer, e.g. as a dispersant, and the wet-crushed dispersion liquid is contained in a microcapsule. For the film material of such a microcapsule, there is used, e.g. gelatin in a coacervation method, and melamine-formaldehyde resin is used in an in-situ method. If an intensifier is included in the microcapsule, coloring sensitivity can be enhanced, and also a coloring temperature in the microcapsule and a coloring temperature of the thermal recording layer can be controlled arbitrarily. |
