PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the falling of a waterdrop to enhance safety and to thin the main body. SOLUTION: The inside of a main body 6 is divided into a chamber 2 housing a filter 1 and a chamber 4 housing a blower 3. An ash tray 7 is provided at the upper part and a suction port 8 communicating with the filter housing chamber 2 in the periphery of the ash tray 7, an exhaust port 9 is furnished at the lower part, and a suction face 10 of the filter 1 housed in the chamber 2 is vertically set in the longitudinal direction, hence the intrusion of a waterdrop from the suction face 10 is prevented, safety is enhanced, and the air cleaner is thinned.
