<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder that can forms a high quality printed image on any recording media such as a regular paper and an inkjet recording dedicated paper. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder forms an image on a recording medium by two inks of a first ink including first and second pigments in a water-base solvent in a dispersed condition and a second ink including a dye. In the first ink, the first pigment is of a self-dispersion type pigment wherein at least one of anionic or cationic group is coupled to the surface directly or with the other atomic group therebetween and the second pigment is dispersed by a polymer dispersant and includes either one of a polymer dispersant of which the polarity is the same as that of the group coupled to the surface of the first pigment and a nonionic polymer dispersant.
