PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable and compact setting unit capable of being used in common for a plurality of systems and easily setting related data. SOLUTION: A portable setting unit body whose size is small to be gripped by a hand is provided with a display section 12 and an operation section 13. Relational data are displayed on the display section 12 by operating the operation section 13 and the related data are stored in a data memory when setting contents are confirmed. Furthermore, the operation section 13 has a function of transferring the related data to a transmission unit. The setting device can instruct a setting state where the related data are set to the transmission unit and a normal state where the transmission unit controls a load.
