WHITE POWDER AND ITS PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white powder having films that gives high whiteness even with a relatively small number and thin thickness of the films which enable the properties of the base granules to be retained, more specifically, to be fully utilized and a production method for the powder. SOLUTION: In the white powder having a coated film in the surface of a base granule 1 and the method of preparing the same, at least one layer of the coated film 2 is constituted as aggregates of crystallized fine granule capable of imparting whiteness by the scattering reflection of light and crystallized fine particles having voids among mutual crystallized fine particles. Preferably, by rendering the granule diameters of the crystallized fine granule irregular and rendering the coated film to be formed on the surface of the base particle a multi-layered film, a dose film is formed in the surface of the coated film constituted as the aggregates of crystallized fine granules with ultrafine granules capable of filling the voids of the surface.
