<p>A capillary array comprises a plurality of capillaries and two holding substrates sandwiching at least part of the capillaries to array the capillaries generally planarly. In one holding substrate, there are formed detection apertures for passing detection light emitted by light application from samples to be measured. Especially, these detection apertures are so arranged to correspond to the respective capillaries thereby to provide a plurality of light-passing areas through which the detection light passes, and light-shielding areas interposed between the light-passing areas for blocking the detection light. With the light-shielding areas, the reflected light reflected from the surfaces of the capillaries can be blocked to improve the SN ratio and thereby to realize highly precise detection.</p> |
