PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stranded steel wire excellent in workability and of high corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: When subjecting a steel containing >=0.6 wt.%, C to continuous wire drawing, a wire drawing method is conducted at a temperature of <=5 deg.C by using a wet type lubricant, or when subjecting a steel containing >=0.6 wt.%, C, to continuous wiredrawing, a wire drawing method is conducted at a temperature of <=0 deg.C by using a wet type lubricant, or a wire drawing method is conducted by using a lubricant featured by that glycerin is contained in the water used for diluting the lubricant, or a wire drawing method is conducted by using a lubricant in which ethyl alcohol or methyl alcohol is used for diluting the lubricant. |
