PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delayed tack type adhesive composition which does not use dicyclohexyl phthalate, can thermally be dried at a higher temperature, when coated on a substrate to produce a heat-sensitive adhesive label, scarcely foams, has good coating suitability, has excellent blocking resistance and excellent adhesivity, when stored, and can hold the adhesivity for a long period, and to provide an adhesive label using the adhesive composition. SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion delayed tack type adhesive composition comprising a thermoplastic resin, a tackifier and a solid plasticizer, is characterized by containing a carboxylic acid-containing copolymer as an aqueously dispersing agent for the solid plasticizer. The delayed tack type adhesive label characterized by disposing the delayed tack type adhesive composition on a substrate for the label.
