PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a cylindrical container with a bottom in large quantities at a low cost by a method wherein a large number of radial incised lines are extended from the periphery of a nearly circular bottom plate provided at the center of a nearly circular paper blank to the periphery of the blank, and each of the peripheral portions of the blank divided by the incised lines is folded back from the periphery of the bottom plate to bond lapping portions of the peripheral portions of the blank to one another. SOLUTION: For making the container made of paper, wherein a paper blank is folded back from the periphery of a bottom part at the center of the blank and bonded to form a container body at the periphery of a bottom plate into single upright shape, the central portion of a nearly circular blank 1 is formed into a bottom plate 3 having an outer edge formed along a ring-like fold line 2, and a large number of radial incised lines 4 are extended from the line 2 to the outer periphery 1a of the blank to form a developed structure of the container, and a large number of fan-like portions, each of which is formed between the adjoining lines 4, are folded back from the line 2 to form a container side piece 5, and then lapping portions 5a of these pieces 5 are bonded to one another to form a container body 6 having a single upright shape from a large number of bonded side pieces 5.
