PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor needed to distribute a document composed of a plurality of pages included in one document data file to different distribution destinations. SOLUTION: A terminal device and a printer are connected to a network 4, and document data are sent to a printing server 1 from the terminal device. The corresponding relation between a character string showing the distribution destinations of the document data and the printer is defined in a distribution destination definition table 16. A distribution scattering controlling part 15 extracts the character string from a document represented with document data received by a receiving part 1 and further generates control information for making the printer whose relation to the character string is defined in the table 16 print pages on which the extracted character string is included in a document in accordance with instruction information from the terminal device for instructing the printing of the document to a page unit. A transmitting part 19 for respective printers transmits the document data and the control information to the printer being a control object of the control information.
