PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KARAOKE system which enables a KARAOKE user to easily input KARAOKE music to KARAOKE equipment, hold a music list individually, and freely update data by using a portable terminal such as a portable telephone set. SOLUTION: This KARAOKE system is equipped with the portable terminal 20 having a radio transmitting and receiving function to and from the outside and a KARAOKE equipment body 10 which plays KARAOKE music; and the portable terminal 20 is equipped with a main radio communication means 20A which sends and receives music information to and from the outside, a short- distance radio communication means 20B which sends and receives the music information to and from the KARAOKE equipment body 10, and a storage and holding means 21 which stores and holds the music information.
