PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an on-screen display in the language of a country or area of installation. SOLUTION: A GPS reception part 1 receives the radio wave of a GPS satellite by power-on operation or key operation on a remote controller to identify the position, and a country/area decision part 2 decides the country or area according to its data; and a language data decision part 4 decides language data of the country or area decided by the country/area decision part from language data read out of a language data storage part 3, and an on-screen display signal generation part 5 generates a signal for an on-screen display which is displayed on the screen of a display part 6.
