<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate printing under operating conditions matching a user's demand on an added or replacing printing device without the new installation of a program such as a printer driver dedicated to the printing device into a host apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Specified information on operating conditions such as a paper feed tray and duplex printing for the execution of print jobs from a host apparatus is registered and saved in a flash memory 32 in association with host side information such as an IP address and a job owner name acquirable from print job data. Upon receiving a print job from the host apparatus, the information registered and saved in the flash memory 32 is referred to according to the host side information included in the print job data to decide operating conditions, under which necessary actions are executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
