<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for activating a molded body proton type β zeolite, the highly activated molded body proton type β zeolite prepared by this method and a method for producing divalent phenols by oxidizing monovalent phenols with peroxides by using the prepared molded body proton type β zeolite. <P>SOLUTION: The molded body proton type β zeolite is activated by dipping into an acidic aqueous solution with pH of 0-6, drying and baking after washing by water. Production of the divalent phenols by oxidizing the monovalent phenols with the peroxides is efficiently performed in a flow system by using the molded body proton type β zeolite activated by this method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
