PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foodstuff composition for treating ulcerative colitis.

SOLUTION: The substance, which is separated from a germinated seed of a poaceous plant, contains a protein and an insoluble dietary fiber. The drug composition and the foodstuff composition containing the substance are separated from the germinated seed of the poaceous plant and contain the substance with the protein and the insoluble dietary fiber as active ingredients.
