<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition excellent in storage stability when left alone at a high temperature for long, in ejection stability when used for an inkjet printer, and in color developability regardless of recording media species, which is suitable to ink for inkjet recording. <P>SOLUTION: This water-based ink composition comprises a coloring component, a resin emulsion, a humectant and water, characterized in that the coloring component is a dispersion in which a colorant is made water-dispersive through inclusion by a dispersive polymer which is water-insoluble by itself, and the resin emulsion is subjected to heat treatment at a temperature not lower than the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the resin component constituting the resin emulsion before added to the water-based ink composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
