<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endless belt that is free from clear interfaces between layers and the degradation in bonding characteristics at the interfaces and that prevents delamination and is strong in dynamics, and also to provide a functional membrane and a manufacturing method for it, an image forming apparatus using the endless belt, a conveying device, an intermediate transfer belt, and a transfer conveyance belt. <P>SOLUTION: For example, the endless belt has a belt base material 52 and a surface layer 54, and the surface layer 54 is formed by laminating, in order from the belt base material 52 side, a P layer 54A, Q layer 54B, and R layer 54C. The belt base material 52 is composed of a composition A. The P layer 54A of the surface layer 54 is composed of a composition A, its Q layer 54B is composed of the composition A and a composition B, and its R layer 54C is composed of the composition B. The compositions A and B composing the corresponding layers contain at least, for example, a resin material and conductive agent, which differ from each other in terms of composition.
