METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF IDIOPATHIC MACULAR BREAKAGES

A method for surgical treatment of idiopathic macular breakages consists in that through the puncture of all eye membranes in the projection of flat part of ciliary body in a distance of 3- from a limb the broadening gas is introduced into a vitreous body. After an operation a patient head is placed in the forced position at which a gas bubble is in the area of retina breakage. Gas volume, calculated prior to operation and which must arrives at no less than 40-50 % volume of vitreous body cavity in a postoperative period, is introduced in the vitreous body cisterns with the subsequent observance of the head forced position during 3-4 weeks after the operation.
