<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device being hardly burst by improving a flat pattern shape of an airbag without putting-in an inner tube. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 10 is provided with a duct 20 arranged over the approximately whole length in a vehicle longitudinal direction along a roof side rail; and a plurality of chambers C1-C9 communicated with the duct 20. The duct 20 comprises a lengthy first duct part 21 and a short second duct part 22 while clamping a gas introduction port 25, the duct 20 is made to a shape that an entrance of a close chamber C4 closest to the gas introduction port 25 of the first duct part 21 gradually becomes narrow from an upper part toward a lower part. Passage width α of the uppermost part of an entrance of the close chamber C4 is longer than the depth β to the narrowest part of the entrance of the close chamber C4, and passage width γ of the narrowest part is narrower than passage width δ of the first duct part 21 at a periphery of the entrance of the close chamber C4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
