<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting device for rotator which improves the detection accuracy of rotator position, while suppressing the number of magnetic sensors. <P>SOLUTION: In the position detecting device, a first comparator 1, to which first output voltage HUP and first inverted output voltage HUM which a first Hall element HU outputs, are inputted outputs a first position detection signal HUs. A second comparator 2, to which second output voltage HVP and second inverted output voltage HVM which a second Hall element HV outputs, are inputted outputs a second position detection signal HVs. A third comparator 3, to which first inverted output voltage HUM that the first Hall element HU outputs and second output voltage HVP that the second Hall element HV outputs are inputted, outputs a third position detection signal HWs.
