<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit having reduced noises and size and improved energy saving property by suppressing the flow rate of air passing through a fan and a heat exchanger in the indoor unit. <P>SOLUTION: The indoor unit for an air-conditioner comprises the fan 2 and the heat exchanger 6 provided in a casing. Room air flows into the casing with the rotation of the fan 2, and the air flowing thereinto is heat exchanged with refrigerant by the heat exchanger 6 and blown from an air outlet 7 into a room.
