PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector provided with a slit for inspection, which makes an inspectional reference plane of a dimensional inspection of the connector common. SOLUTION: A housing 20 has an accommodation room 24 surrounded by a side face 22 and a bottom face 23, and the inspectional reference plane 25 is provided at a higher position than surroundings by one step in the side face 22 of an upper side of the accommodation room 24. Furthermore, the slit 26 for inspection, where a cross line of a face extended by the upper face of the inspectional reference plane 25 and the bottom face 23 is one face, is provided in the bottom face 23. Dimensions of a vertical direction of each part of the housing 20 are measured regarding a plane surface of the inspectional reference plane 25 as a reference. A position of a contact pin 30 and a coplanarity are measured regarding the inspectional reference plane 25 as a reference. The slit 26 for inspection is a rectangular slit, and the coplanarity of the contact pin of a rear side is measured regarding the upper face of the slit 26 for inspection as a reference as the position of the upper face of the slit coincides with the inspectional reference plane.
