PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to normally execute a high bit rate application requiring real time property due to a data transfer failure in a storage device which restores data by a RAID (Redundant Arrays Independent Disks) function when a CRC error or parity error occurs. SOLUTION: When a failure occurs but data are not destroyed in storage devices 1 to 5, it is detected by checking residual amount of data buffers 101 to 105 for temporarily storing data read from the storage devices 1 to 5, and an application can be continued while restoring the data by the RAID function.
