The hydraulic pressure generator comprises a piston pump that is placed into an oil reservoir (6) such that the piston pump is fully or partially immersed in oil with its valve and cylinder components. A piston (2) or a cylinder (3) is displaced directly or indirectly with a component of a main drive of an elevator in a stroke movement effected directly or indirectly on the piston, particularly by an eccentric drive. A mechanical drive component of the piston has a target breaking point.
