POSITION INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM AND INDOOR TRANSMITTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information providing system capable of shortening the required time, until acquisition of position information.

SOLUTION: This indoor transmitter 200-1 provides position information, by using the first positioning signal which is a spectrum spread signal from among a plurality of satellites and the compatible second positioning signal. The indoor transmitter 200-1 is equipped with an EEPROM (electronically erasable and programmable read-only memory) 243 for storing the position data for specifying the position where the transmitter itself is installed; an FPGA (field programmable gate array) 245 for generating the second positioning signal, including the position data as the spectrum spread signal; and transmission units 251-258 for transmitting the spectrum spread signal. The second positioning signal is generated so as to repeat the same content with a cycle shorter than that of the first positioning signal.
