PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system and an information transmission method that effectively prevent a burst-like increase in data capacity.SOLUTION: In an information transmission system 1 which is configured to transmit a plurality of data streams through a leased line 5 and laid in the site of a railroad, the plurality of data streams are video data supplied from a plurality of monitor cameras 3A-3E.
