PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that when detecting an edge included image data, since it is required to refer a target pixel and a wide range pixel in its periphery, a lot of memory is required.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus: converts a first resolution image into a second resolution image having a resolution lower than that of the first resolution; determines whether or not a target pixel is an edge part with reference to the target pixel in the second resolution image and a peripheral pixel of the target pixel; and determines a value of the target pixel determined as an edge part and the pixel of edge part in the first resolution image corresponding to the target pixel based on the ratio of the first resolution and the second resolution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
