The installation has a transfer unit to transfer baggage. The transfer unit has a loading rack to group the baggage conveyed on a conveyor belt (52) into rows to guide the rows towards a trolley (12) and an unloading unit to guide the rows towards the belt and to carry each baggage. The loading rack has a recovery unit (58) to pass the baggage from one state to another state to recover the luggage. An independent claim is also included for a method to transfer circular baggage between a conveyor belt and a trolley.
