The swan neck (10) for semi-trailers has a plate (12) rigidly connectable to a platform on the semi-trailer and an arm (20) resting on the saddle of a towing vehicle. The arm has a coupling plate (42) provided with a coupling pin (54) protruding downwards below the plate and rotates on the arm around a cross pin (46) under the action of a hydraulic control cylinder (48) which is connected to the plate and is supported on the arm. The arm is rigidly connected to a support (18) which in its turn is rigidly connected to the plate by its foot and below which a running gear (32) with at least one axle (30) is integrated with the hydraulic suspension.
