PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a plated article excellent in pattern properties.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a plated article having a patterned metal film formed on the surface of a base material comprises: 1) a step a1 of applying a coating material including conductive polymer fine particles and a photoresist to form a plating underlayer on the surface of the base material; 2) a step b1 of exposing the plating underlayer through a pattern shaped mask; 3) a step c1 of removing the plating underlayer in accordance with a pattern by development after the exposure; 4) a step d1 of de-doping the conductive polymer fine particles included in the plating underlayer remaining on the base material to change them into reducible polymer fine particles; and 5) a step d2 of providing a metal plating film on the de-doped plating underlayer by electroless plating treatment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
