PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrotalcite compound having a crystal structure and particle size property having a special energy state and useful for example as an acid acceptor and an absorbent of halogen or an absorbent and a stabilizer of chlorine ion because adsorptivity of anion is excellent.SOLUTION: There is provided a hydrotalcite compound represented by the chemical formula of (a), having stretching vibration frequency of a hydroxyl group calculated by a Fourier transformation (FT-IR) of 3430 cmor more and satisfying following particle size property of (b) to (d). (a) MgAl(OH)AmHO (b) 5≤Sw≤20 (m/g) (c) 0.5≤Dp≤2 (μm) (d) D≤10.09 (μm ), where Arepresents n valent anion, x is 0.1≤x≤0.5 and m is 0≤m<1, Sw: BET specific surface area measured by a nitrogen adsorption method (m/g), Dp: 50% average particle diameter measured by a laser diffraction scattering particle size distribution measure (μm) and D: maximum particle diameter measured by the laser diffraction scattering particle size distribution measure (μm).SELECTED DRAWING: None |
