PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that is excellent in gas resistance and repeating characteristics.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer contains a charge generating agent, hole transport agent, electron transport agent, and binder resin on the same layer. Titanyl phthalocyanine contained as the charge generating agent has a main peak at a Bragg angle of 2θ±0.2°=27.2° in a CuKα characteristic X-ray diffraction spectrum, and satisfies the following (B) or (C) in a differential scanning calorimetry analysis spectrum. (B) Having no peaks within a range of 50°C or more and 400°C or less other than peaks accompanying evaporation of adsorbed water. (C) Having no peaks within a range of 50°C or more and 270°C or less other than peaks accompanying evaporation of adsorbed water, and having peaks within a range of 270°C or more and 400°C or less.
