PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for wash timing based on operating parameters of a turbine engine.SOLUTION: A system includes a memory storing a turbomachinery degradation model 43 configured to model degradation of a turbine system 10 over time. Further, the system includes a controller 38 communicatively coupled to the memory 43, which derives a turbomachinery wash timing on the basis of at least one input signal from the turbine system 10 and the turbomachinery degradation model. The turbomachinery degradation model derives a desired wash point by estimating a modeled power and/or modeled heat rate of the turbine system 10. The controller 38 uses the desired wash point to determine a time for washing components of the turbine system 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
