A rotor granulator comprising a granulation chamber having a wall of circular cross-section, at least one spray nozzle, a rotating disc placed within the wall and spaced apart therefrom to define a gap, and a source of heated gas located below the disc and adapted to flow upwards past the disc into the chamber through the gap, the disc being additionally provided with a concentric ring fixed below the disc and spaced apart from the disc, so as to define a space through which gas can flow, the outer diameter of the ring being greater, and the inner diameter of the ring being smaller, than that of the disc. A rotor granulator this equipped is more efficient than one with a conventional disc. |
