PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device that can cool frictional heat generated in a braking surface of a rotating body.SOLUTION: A rotating body 110 has a cylindrical shape, and comprises a groove 114 in an end surface that constitutes an edge portion of the cylindrical shape. An inner peripheral surface that constitutes a cylindrical portion of the cylindrical shape is a braking surface 113. A housing 130 comprises an opening part 131 in a portion opposed to the groove 114, and an injection port 142 of a pipe 140 is arranged in the opening part 131. At the time of braking, a braking member 122 is pressed against the braking surface 113, and the rotation of the rotating body 110 is thereby stopped. At this time, a cooling medium 151 is injected toward the groove 114 from the injection port 142 of the pipe 140, and frictional heat in the braking surface 113 is thereby cooled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
