A method for detecting leakage in a fuel hose assembly, as well as a corresponding fuel hose assembly. A first hose for transporting a liquid fuel at a fuel pressure (Pf), substantially above ambient pressure Pa, is surrounded by a second hose, such that an annular chamber is formed between said hoses. Said chamber is filled a gas at a predefined reference pressure (range) (Pr), such that Pa < Pr < Pf. The pressure (P) of said gas in said chamber is measured and compared to said predefined reference pressure (range) (Pr). An error signal (S1, S2) is emitted when said measured pressure (P) deviates from said reference pressure (range) (Pr). Specifically, an error signal (S1) to indicate leakage in said first hose is emitted when P > Pr,, and an error signal (S2) to indicate leakage in said second hose is emitted when P < Pr. |
