Five planetary gears are connected in series between two concentric input axles and one output axle. The gear-wheel support in the fifth gear has a drive connection with the output axle and the ring wheel associated with this support is connected to the gear-wheel support for the fourth gear. The sun wheel can be connected to the planetary gear-wheel support via a clutch to provide a transmission ratio of 1:1 or it can be connected to the transmission casing via a brake in order to provide freewheeling while the activated brake acts as a reduction gear. |
