The tile suitable for building work, has a weather resistant outer layer made of stone, secured by an adhesive to a supporting layer made of a mixture of a synthic resin having thermally insulating properties and quarz. The supporting layer has end projections with grooves facing upwards and downwards respectively to interlock with adjacent tiles. On the lower face are two feet at one end forming a stop surface for supporting woodwork and at the other end is a projecting cross rib. At the same end as the feet, the upper surface incorportates a cross groove. ADVANTAGE - Easy installation without nails.
