Method for making heat-stable paper

A method for making heat-stable paper including a heat-stable binder is disclosed. In particular, a method for making heat-stable paper that has been densified by calendering is disclosed. The calendering rolls are coated with a coating that does not stick to the resin constituting the paper binder and can withstand temperatures of at least 250 DEG C. A suitable coating may be a nickel/Teflon<3> layer marketed under the name NIFLOR<3>.
