<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for manufacturing a fuel cell separator in which the proportion of the total volume of a residual material accumulating space, which communicates with a fuel cell separator forming space, to the volume of the fuel cell separator forming space is determined to be within a specific range to make the die superior in dimensional accuracy, moldability, and productivity; and to provide a manufacturing method for the fuel cell separator using the die. <P>SOLUTION: The die for manufacturing the fuel cell separator has an upper die and a lower die, between which the residual material accumulating space is formed to communicate with the fuel cell separator forming space. (1) The residual material accumulating space communicates with the fuel cell separator forming space via a passage that is formed on the periphery of the fuel cell separator forming space by the upper and lower dies.
