Stop=start device for motor vehicle IC engine

摘要

The device has a switch-on circuit contg. a controller (2) which receives engine speed, accelerator pedal position and ignition key switching state signals. The controller is connected to a changeover relay which can be changed by a manual start-stop key and which only outputs a start or stop signal when the key is depressed if received engine and vehicle operating signals lie within defined ranges. A signal (SB) is received in the controller modified by the start/stop signal (ST) and which represents the brake pedal position. The engine can be started independently of the switching state of an automatic transmission or a transmission with an automatic clutch and/or if the hand brake is actuated.
