The print head holder (12) supports an elongate print head (10) with a linear array of print elements, each providing a respective section of the printed image, for providing a printing line. The print head is relatively spaced to the holder via a coupling which is adjustable along the length of the print head, so that the space between the holder and the print elements is adjusted at different points to vary the shape of the printed line.
