Precoated mineral wool tile

The tile has a thin bonded layer of glue mortar or a dispersion of plastics in water on at least one side of its cut surfaces. The precoating has fabric, a mat, roving or a net built into it. This makes it liable to bend between 5 mm and 30 mm, preferably between 8 mm and 15 mm, under edge pressure under its own weight, given a flat length of 120 mm. The insert in the precoating may be composed of glass fibre or mineral fibre. The tile can be made more rigid by coating both cut surfaces.
