The invention relates to cosmetic preparations containing (a) dialkyl ether of formula (I) R<1>-O-R<2> wherein R<1> and R<2> are individually linear or branched alkyl- and/or alkenyl radicals with 12-22 carbon atoms (b) silicon compounds and (c) emulsifiers selected from the group formed by alkyl- and/or alkenyl oligoglycosides, fatty acid N-alkyl polyhydroxyalkylamides, alkyl ether sulfates and/or betaines. The substances are characterized by their shiny pearly lustre, excellent reviving properties, high storage stability and specific skin cosmetic compatibility. As a result, they are especially suited for use in the production of pearly lustre silicon shampoos.
