The control system has modules for the digital inputs and outputs (4,5), potentiometer modules (6), booster modules (7) and a personal computer (1) for providing overall control. The input and output modules are coupled via a parallel transmission bus (9) to an interface adapter (2) coupled to the printer interface (11) of the personal computer, with the potentiometer and booster modules coupled to the interface adapter via a serial bus (10).
