Treatment of pond water intended for controlling the growth or parasites and/or removing the parasites characterised in that effective amounts of peracetic acid and H2O2 are added, simultaneously or separately. Also claimed is a composition for implementation of method or the therapeutic treatment of fish in a fish farm intended to prevent or treat the damage caused by parasites, characterised in that it produces, bi dilution in the water, effective amounts of peracetic acid and H2O2.
